  Firstly, there are 2 options to get to the castle - via foot or via the lift near the beach. We opted for the later. It was reasonably priced @ €2.70 per person return. Once up, you are in a part of the castle which winds into the main forecourt. The castle itself isn't much of a spectacle. It's a nice enough castle, and well maintained, but the 'star of the show' is the amazing views from all angles you look out from. Well worth the trip just to see the city of Alicante, the port, sea and surrounding areas from this great viewing platform. The castle has a few points of interests within its walls, including information boards, of which most were in English. The 2 cafes on the grounds we saw were reasonably priced and the one on the way out of the castle (towards the roads) had nice views. Well worth a visit.

  Amazing views from the top of the castle. There's a restaurant at the top bit I didn't visit it. I walked there and it was a nice hike. Great views all around. You can see the entire city from the top and all surrounding cities and mountains

  Walk to the top and come down with lift(free). Castle is quite big and has a coffe shop on top that is not expensive. Entrance to castle is also free. Nice to enjoy the great views to the sea and the city. Worth visiting

  In the castle there is not so many things to see (in sense of exhibits). But walking between different levels of the castle is a very nice experience. Especially that views are incredible and fantastic. Also paths to the hill are nice to walk. For sure mandatory place in Alicante

  There is an elevator located next to the beach, that was €2.70 each. Other than that it was free to visit. If you walk up, it's completely free. We walked down in about 15 minutes. It looks worse than it is.

  The only bad part was that half of the areas were closed off.
